OUR SCHOOL
Proud of our title "The School That Cares", Scottsville is made up of these three main sections: Scottsville Gardens Pre-Primary (an independent Pre-Primary, affiliated to Scottsville Primary School), Scottsville Junior Primary and Scottville Senior Primary.
Together our focus and commitment is to deliver a holistic and quality education. On a daily basis, our educators are consistent in assuring that we provide a safe, family-orientated environment, promoting a sense of well-being for each of our learners. Enabling effective learning, this also allows each child to grow into confident, accomplished young men and women.
The ethos at Scottsville School include these values: Love, Respect, Honesty, Humility, Self-control, Accountability and Patience
Through an active and caring example, Scottsville School educators go beyond their call of duty, working hand in hand with parents to enable children to reach their full potential.
Principal's Message
Welcome to Scottsville Primary School. As Headmaster, it is a privilege to introduce you to the School That Cares. Recognised as an official monument site, and with an incredibly proud heritage dating back to 1915, Scottsville School is steeped in rich history. A comprehensive curriculum, the academic, sporting, and cultural aspects of the school provide a foundation of complete excellence in all areas of a child’s development.
As part of our vision to always go beyond the call of duty, the staff at Scottsville School are dedicated to providing a holistic quality, child-centred education in a secure and disciplined environment. At Scottsville School children are loved un-conditionally as teachers work hand in hand with parents to enable children to reach their full potential. Each classroom has had the traditional chalk boards replaced with white boards that double up as screens for the data projectors. Mimeos convert the white boards into interactive “smartboards.” A Wi-Fi network throughout the school allows each classroom, with its own computer, access to the Internet where up-to-date information is available at the teachers’ fingertips. Information and Communication Technologies form part of our Computer class lessons, which Grade 1-7 learners make the most of, on a weekly basis.
I welcome you to our website which, together with our Facebook page provides some insight into the productive and happy place that is Scottsville Primary School. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any more information, or should you wish to arrange a visit.
